At Interzoo 2026, one of the Italian companies we followed with the greatest interest was certainly Sicce. Not because the company tried to create a spectacular effect at all costs, but because it brought a very clear message to the fair: improving already well-known products, working on reliability, making life easier for aquarists and continuing to build an increasingly solid product range.
In an edition of Interzoo that, as we wrote in our general editorial (Interzoo 2026 editorial: the DaniReef video reportage from Nuremberg), felt a little more cautious and less spectacular than in the past, Sicce perfectly represented one of the most interesting directions in the market: fewer announced revolutions, more substance. And when we talk about pumps, filters, skimmers and accessories that must work every day, for years, this is anything but a secondary aspect.
Sicce at Interzoo 2026 in short: Aqua Filtra with the new Bio Booster elements, updates to the Shark line, Syncra pumps, strong attention to build quality and warranty of up to 10 years on some models. A less “loud” presence, but a very concrete one.
The video of Sicce at Interzoo 2026
As always, let us start with the video. For this article we prepared a dedicated video about the Sicce booth at Interzoo 2026, edited from the footage shot directly at the fair in Nuremberg. It is a simple and immediate way to take a closer look at the products presented, the atmosphere of the booth and the most interesting updates we saw during our visit.
In the video you will find the section dedicated to Sicce products, but also the marine aquariums managed by OceanLife and illuminated with GNC Bluray X lights, which gave the booth a very interesting visual impact. For those who want a broader overview of the fair, with all the booths we visited and our general impressions, you will also find below the link to the full video reportage from Interzoo 2026.
Sicce at Interzoo 2026: fewer special effects, more substance
The feeling we had at the Sicce booth was that of a company very focused on consolidating its product range. We did not see the classic “wow” product created only to attract attention at the fair, but rather a series of updates and solutions moving in the direction of practicality and reliability.
And this is precisely the interesting aspect. In our sector we are often fascinated by the absolute novelty, by the newly announced product, by the most aggressive spec sheet. But then, in the aquarium we manage every day, other things matter just as much, if not more: silence, durability, ease of maintenance, spare parts, warranty, support and real reliability.
From this point of view, Sicce has chosen a very recognizable path: continuing to improve products that are already on the market, adding useful features and communicating the value of build quality in a strong and clear way.
Aqua Filtra and the new Bio Booster elements
One of the most interesting updates seen at the booth concerns an add-on for the Aqua Filtra hang-on filter, a filter we had already tested and described on DaniReef in one of our in-depth reviews. At Interzoo 2026, Sicce showed the new Bio Booster elements, designed to support the biological side of the aquarium through a progressive release and perfectly integrated into the waterfall flow of Aqua Filtra.

The concept is interesting because, at least in its general philosophy, it recalls gradual-release supports used to feed and sustain specific bacterial populations. Of course, this is not a product to be interpreted in a simplistic or miraculous way, but rather an accessory that can make Aqua Filtra even more complete and flexible, especially in small aquariums or in systems where we want to increase biological stability without making management too complicated.

What we like about this approach is that it does not distort the original product, but expands it. Aqua Filtra was created as a simple, compact and practical filter, and with these new elements it becomes a more complete platform, capable of adapting better to different needs.
Shark Skimmer and Shark line: practical updates
Another interesting point concerns the Shark line. Here too, we are not looking at a revolution, but at a series of practical updates that can make a difference in everyday use: stronger magnets, improved mounts, greater attention to stability and easier installation.

Anyone who owns an aquarium knows this well: it is often not only the declared performance that makes a product valid, but the way that product is installed, cleaned, adjusted and remains in place over time. In this sense, the updates to the Shark line move in the right direction, because they focus exactly on those details that, in real use, matter much more than they may seem when looking at a technical sheet.
Shark Skimmer, in particular, remains an interesting option for those looking for a compact and integrated solution, especially in aquariums without a sump or in systems where one does not want to overcomplicate the technical setup. It is not designed to replace large sump skimmers in very demanding tanks, but it can make sense in many simpler, compact or support aquariums.
Sicce pumps and the value of up to 10 years of warranty
The strongest theme, in our opinion, is the one linked to pumps. Sicce wanted to strongly underline the build quality of its products, offering on some models a warranty that can reach up to 10 years. The product must be registered, of course, but there is no additional cost for the user.

In a market increasingly crowded with inexpensive pumps, very similar products and brands that often disappear or change distribution after only a few years, this is an important message. A return pump, a flow pump or a technical pump is not a secondary accessory: it is a fundamental element for the stability of the aquarium.
The return pump, in particular, is one of the most critical components in a marine aquarium with a sump. If it stops, circulation between tank and sump stops, gas exchange is reduced, water no longer passes through filtration and skimmer, and the entire system loses an important part of its balance. For this reason, reliability is not a detail: it is one of the most important aspects when choosing a pump.
A long warranty is not only a commercial matter. It is also a declaration of confidence in the product. It means telling the aquarist: this object is designed to last. In a sector where we are often used to seeing constant novelties, but not always real continuity over time, this is a message that, in our opinion, deserves attention.
The OceanLife marine aquarium with GNC Bluray Plus lights
Inside the Sicce booth there were not only products and technical updates. An important part of the visual impact was also entrusted to the two marine aquariums managed by OceanLife, illuminated by GNC Bluray X lights. This was an interesting choice because it allowed the booth to be seen not only as a commercial display, but also as a living space, with corals, movement, color and a very pleasant light rendering.

Both aquariums were highly scenic and represented well what we often look for at a trade fair: not only a product placed on a shelf, but a product inserted into a real context, in front of a functioning aquarium full of life. In this sense, the collaboration between Sicce, OceanLife and GNC gave the booth significant added value, especially for those who, like us, always pay close attention to the photographic side and to the visual impact of the displays.

In the video dedicated to the Sicce booth, we also gave space to this part, precisely because it tells the atmosphere of the booth very well: technical products, of course, but also aquariums, corals and people. And it is exactly this combination that makes a trade fair presence more memorable.
Sicce and the Italian aquarium industry
Another aspect we like to underline is the role of Sicce as an Italian company within the international aquarium industry. At Interzoo, it is very easy to understand which companies have a real presence on the global market, and Sicce is one of those companies that has been able for years to speak not only to Italy, but also to an international audience.

In a fair such as Interzoo, where distributors, retailers, companies and professionals from all over the world meet, being present consistently is not something to be taken for granted. It means having a recognizable product range, a commercial structure, a network of relationships and credibility built over time.
As Italians, and as aquarium enthusiasts, seeing companies like Sicce continue to attend a fair of this level is always positive. Not only because of national pride, but because it confirms that in our country there is still important technical expertise in the aquarium world.
Sicce will attend AcquariaItalia 2026
For those who want to see the updates presented at Interzoo 2026 in person, it will also be possible to meet Sicce at AcquariaItalia 2026, the Italian fair dedicated to the aquarium world that will take place at Malpensa Fiere. The company will be present both during the public days and during the final day dedicated to B2B, designed for professionals, retailers, distributors and companies in the sector.
It will be an interesting opportunity to take a closer look at products, updates and technical solutions, but also to speak directly with the company in an Italian context, more focused and closer to enthusiasts and professionals in our market.

What we think
The presence of Sicce at Interzoo 2026 seemed consistent with the current moment of the industry. Not a fair made of sensational announcements, but of more mature products, concrete updates and growing attention to reliability. And in this context, Sicce moved well.
The new Bio Booster elements for Aqua Filtra, the updates to the Shark line and the strong message on pumps and warranty of up to 10 years tell a precise philosophy: continuing to improve what already works. A choice that may be less spectacular to tell at a trade fair, but very important for those who truly manage an aquarium every day.

In the end, this is probably the most interesting thing we saw from Sicce: the desire to focus on durability, practicality and confidence in the product. And for us, in aquarium keeping, these are values that matter enormously.
