Interzoo 2026: aquarium companies to watch in Nuremberg

That is no coincidence: Interzoo is, without any doubt, the most important global event dedicated to the pet industry. And for those who follow the aquarium world, Nuremberg is often the place where trends, products and company strategies are revealed in advance. The show starts in about two weeks, so let’s see what we know so far and, above all, which aquarium companies will be worth following in Nuremberg.

The Interzoo trade fair will take place in Nuremberg, Germany, from May 12 to 15, 2026. As tradition dictates, it will be reserved for industry professionals and, once again, it will run during the week, from Tuesday to Friday.

For many companies in the pet and aquarium industry, the Interzoo cycle still sets the rhythm of innovation. During the waiting years, products are designed, new launches are prepared and strategies are built to be unveiled in Nuremberg. That is why being there, or not being there, still remains an important signal of a company’s health and ambitions.

Of course, we will be there. Maurizio and I will leave on Monday, May 11 from Rimini, fly from Bologna to Munich, and then drive to Nuremberg. We will therefore be at the show on May 12, 13 and 14. If you are around, let us know!

Aquarium companies to watch at Interzoo 2026

We identified 245 companies exhibiting in the aquarium sector at Interzoo 2026. That is slightly down compared to the 266 aquarium-related exhibitors from the previous edition. The total number of exhibitors across the whole trade fair will instead be 2,401, also lower than in the past edition.

For aquarium enthusiasts and industry professionals alike, Interzoo remains one of the best places to understand where the market is heading. Some companies attend because they are already global reference points, others because they may unveil new products, and others again because they are growing brands worth keeping an eye on.
