Colombo Coral Vits: vitamins and aminoacids for corals feeding
This article is also available in: italiano
Recently we have often talked about Zooplancton as a primary source of food, but we must not forget vitamins and aminoacids. Colombo Vits owns just to this class, it is a liquid food for corals, just containing vitamins and aminoacids.
In their natural environment, that is the sea, corals use to catch live zooplancton of different varieties. In this way they are able to absorb aminoacids and vitamins straight from the source. Unfortunately the lack of high-quality live zooplancton in our tanks brings a scarcity of these two essential elements.
Colombo Coral Vits
Colombo suggests Coral Vits as a vitamins and aminoacids combination, immediatly bioavailable. This kind of food, thanks to the presence of aminoacids, should be dosed in aquarium when the lights are turned off, a few minutes before dosing zooplancton. Because aminoacids stimulate corals hunger and promote their polyps extrusion in the search for food.
Costs and dosing of Colombo Coral Vits
Coral Vits is available only in the 500 ml bottle. Suggested dosing is 1 ml every 50 litres, with a daily dosing. Of course the dosing must be calibrated according to each marine aquarium requirements.
This means that for a 300 litres tank with a medium coral-density, the 500ml bottle, would last 500/6=83 days, that is about three months.
Colombo Coral Vits costs 13,35 euro.
