Preview: the new Skimmer Elos PS2000 with needle wheel

The Elos has recently removed from its catalog the famous NS Series skimmers, which worked with top-down injection with a more classic skimmers with needle wheel.

One of the new monsters presented is the new PS2000 who has taken the place of the old NS2000, now we have one to test on DaniReef.com.

The skimmer is built absolutely flawless, is a feast for the eyes to see how it was forged and how the acrylic bonding have been done. Only the adjustable outlet is made of PVC as well as the pump body.

Uno dei nuovi mostri presentati è il nuovissimo PS2000 che ha preso il posto dell’NS2000, oggi lo abbiamo in prova su DaniReef.com.

Lo schiumatoio è costruito in maniera assolutamente impeccabile, è una gioia per gli occhi vedere come è stato forgiato l’acrilico e come sono stati effettuati gli incollaggi. Il solo scarico regolabile è costruito in PVC così come il corpo pompa.

Elos AquaTop: una recensione su RAP

L’amico Massimo Iannella di RAP, già intervistato su queste pagine, ha fatto una bellissima recensione della nuovissima plafoniera Elos AquaTop equipaggiata con 4 barre a led E-Stripe, una configurazione che dovrebbe non sfigurare neppure su una vasca marina.

Vi consiglio di gustarvi le bellissime foto di Massimo e di leggervi la recensione che ho trovato davvero molto interessante, posso solo anticiparvi che la plafoniera è piaciuta davvero molto allo staff di RAP, ora dovremo solo aspettare che venga portato a termine un allestimento adhoc per la plafoniera per vedere quanto riesca ad esprimere le sue potenzialità anche in ambito dolce.

Elos NS500 skimmer is out of production

The Elos has today announced the end of production of one of its symbols, that skimmer has been for years one of his warhorses. The Natural Skimmer NS500, a skimmer that I have not personally had in my tank, but I can only speak well to have seen it in many different aquariums.

An extremely versatile skimmer that over the years, ever since it was conceived, it was possible to upgrade to its latest incarnation with new injector, with new outlet, but essentially it’s always been the same great skimmer.

Lo schiumatoio Elos NS500 è uscito di produzione

La Elos ha annunciato proprio oggi l’uscita dal mercato di uno dei suoi simboli, quello schiumatoio che è stato per anni uno dei suoi cavalli di battaglia. Il Natural Skimmer NS500, uno schiumatoio che non ho avuto personalmente nella mia vasca, ma di cui posso solo parlare bene per averlo visto funzionare in tantissime vasche diverse.

Uno schiumatoio estremamente versatile che nel corso degli anni, sin da quando è stato concepito, è stato possibile aggiornare alla sua ultima incarnazione, con nuovo iniettore, con nuovo scarico, ma essenzialmente è sempre stato lo stesso schiumatoio.

Elos declared the temporary unavailability of Elos Terra Small substrate

Elos has issued a statement about the temporary unavailability of Elos Terra Small, very much used for the construction of substrates in freshwater planted aquariums.

As you all know ELOS Terra is a Natural product that is found in nature, sterilized and then enriched with micro and macro elements that enhance its characteristics. It is then sieved by Elos in order to get two sizes: Small and Medium.

Unfortunately, it is now about a year that the raw material coming from nature presents an almost constant grain size, which allows us to select a very limited amount of fine-grained (Terra SMALL).

For this reason, Elos is compelled to temporarily suspend the sale of Terra SMALL.

In the meanwhile Elos suggests alternatively to use the new TERRA Black that features similar organic/chemical characteristic and have a fine grain size, very close to the ELOS Terra Small.

Elos annuncia l’indisponibilità del prodotto Terra Small

Elos ha diramato un comunicato in merito alla indisponibilità momentanea del prodotto Elos Terra Small, utilizzato tantissimo per la costruzione dei substrati negli acquari di acqua dolce piantumati.

Come tutti sapete ELOS Terra è un prodotto estratto in natura che viene setacciato direttamente da Elos in due granulometrie, sterilizzato e quindi addizionato di micro e macro elementi che ne esaltano le caratteristiche.

Purtroppo, è oramai da circa un anno che il materiale in possesso di Elos presenta una granulometria pressoché costante che consente di selezionare un quantitativo molto limitato di granulometria fine.
Per questo motivo, sino a data da definire, la Elos è costretta a sospendere la commercializzazione della granulometria fine.

Elos però suggerisce ai propri clienti di utilizzare in alternativa la nuova Terra Black che ha caratteristiche organico/chimiche similari e presenta una granulometria più fine, molto vicina alla Terra Small.
