Come tutti gli inverni anche quest’anno sono stato a sciare in montagna in occasione delle feste natalizie. Certo il mio post è vagamente in ritardo, ma siccome credo di aver fatto delle belle foto e siccome il posto è oltremodo splendido mi sembrava interessante scriverci almeno due righe., in ogni caso il ritardo è anche imputato al fatto di aver dovuto convertire le oltre 600 foto fatte, di cui quelle che mostro sono solo una piccola parte.
Per la prima volta abbiamo abbandonato le amate nevi di Canazei per dirigersi verso la Francia, per la precisione in Val Thorens.

Like every winters, also this year I spent my christmas holiday on mountain to ski. Of course this post is slightly late, but since I think I take some beautiful pictures and as the place is very beautiful, I thought to write something about. In any case the delay was also attributed to the fact that I had to convert more than 600 photos taken, of which these are only a small part.
For the first time we have left the beloved snows of Canazei to head to France, specifically in Val Thorens.

Il posto è splendido. Val Thorens è un paesino a vocazione turistica che ha la fortuna di essere l’ultimo paese sulla strada che porta sulle montagne. Quindi è estremamente silenzioso e costruito per un pubblico essenzialmente pedonale.
Per noi sciatori è assolutamente favoloso perché ogni albergo, ogni casa è praticamente affacciata sulle pisce, così si esce, si mettono gli sci ai piedi e si comincia a sciare!
La Val Thorens sembra un panettone alla rovescia, il paese in centro con tutte le piste attorno che da ogni punto portano gli sciatori in paese.
L’organizzazione poi è qualcosa di spettacolare. Il nastro trasportatore a servizio del campo scuola è gratuito in modo che tutti possano prendere familiarità con gli sci senza dover comprare lo ski pass. Noi abbiamo iscritto nostra figlia (4 anni e mezzo) a scuola di sci e siamo rimasti stupiti di come siano organizzati. Si può scegliere la scuola al mattino, al pomeriggio o tutto il giorno, noi abbiamo scelto la versione pomeridiana che durava ben tre ore! Portavamo Alessia alle 2 e la tornavamo a prendere alle 5. Nella prima ora i bambini arrivavano e giocavano fra loro seguiti da un maestro o da una maestra, facendo conoscenza fra loro, poi andavano un’ora al campo scuola per la vera lezione di sci, e nell’ultima ora bevevano cioccolata calda presso la scuola ed ancora giocavano fra loro. Creando in questo modo un grande affiatamento e lasciando qualche ora per sciare ai genitori.
A parte un paio di giorni con poco solo ed un po’ di neve, il soggiorno è stato favoloso. Freddo quanto basta per sciare divinamente e passeggiare la sera senza congelarsi.
La sera di capodanno abbiamo avuto una splendida sopresa, perché hanno organizzato uno spettacolo di salti con gli sci proprio davanti al nostro appartamento… veramente spettacolare
E per finire la vacanza una bella cena francese a base di Fondue e Raclette…

The place is wonderful. Val Thorens is a tourist town that is lucky enough to be the last country on the road leading to the mountains. So it is extremely quiet and built to an audience primarily pedestrian.
For us skiers it is absolutely fabulous because every hotel, every house is practically facing the ski slopes, so when someone goes outside, he/she can put the skis on and started to ski!
Val Thorens is like an empty mountains on the contrary, down in the center you find the town, and all around the ski slopes.
The organization then it is something spectacular. The conveyor belt at the service of the unskilled skiers is free so that everyone can try to with the ski without having to buy your ski pass. We entered our daughter (4 years) to ski school and we were amazed how they are organized. You can choose the school in the morning, afternoon or all day, we have chosen the afternoon that lasted three hours! We brought Alessia to the 2 pm and returned to take her at the 5 pm. In the first hour all the children came and played each other followed by a master or a teacher, then in the second hour they went to training camp for the real lesson of skis, in the last hour they drank hot chocolate at the school and still playing with each other. This is perfect for building a great harmony between childrens and for leaving some time for parents to ski.
Apart from a couple of days with clouds and snow, the stay was fabulous. Cold enough for skiing and divinely to stroll in the evening without a freeze.
On the evening of New Year’s Eve we had a wonderful surprise, because they have organized a show of jumping on skis in front of our apartment … truly spectacular
And to finish the holiday a beautiful French dinner based on Fondue and Raclette …

Belle foto, forse un po’ freddine come tonalità…ma capisco che quando sono tante è dura usare PS su tutte nel modo migliore.

Ciao Raffaele, davvero le trovi fredde? Avendo un monitor calibrato non mi sono sembrate fredde, anzi mi sono sembrate davvero troppo calde. In ogni caso sono state passate una ad una con capture NX soprattutto per mettere a posto i livelli ed in alcuni casi per raddrizzare l’orizzonte.
Me le sono comunque riguardate tutte, e continuo a non vederle fredde. Puoi dirmi ad esempio a quale ti riferisci in particolare? Magari qualcuna c’è…

Ciao Paolo.
Il posto è stato scelto perché un amico aveva un appartamento in multiproprietà. Ma sicuramente ci torneremo anche quest’anno, perché il posto è favoloso e costa anche meno che stare in Italia, oltre a tutti i vantaggi che vi sono.
