Keloray at CIPS 2025: new LED lights from 70 to 500 watts

Among the stands that impressed us the most during CIPS 2025 in Guangzhou, one of the ones we were happiest to spend time at was certainly Keloray. Not only because we were already familiar with the brand, but also because this time we were able to see an even broader product range in person, well presented, visually striking, and above all supported by aquariums that truly showcased what these lighting fixtures can do.

Anyone who follows DaniReef knows well that Keloray is not new to us. We had already tested their AL200, a light fixture that had caught our attention and that we reviewed in the DaniReef LAB. That is exactly why arriving at their stand at CIPS had a special meaning for us: we were not discovering an unknown name, but rather checking how a product line we had already seen up close and appreciated was evolving.

And I have to say that the Keloray stand immediately gave us a clear impression: the company is no longer just “the lighting brand,” but is building a broader and more structured presence. At first glance, you could already sense a complete, well-organized lineup, with several models on display and a range that seems designed to meet very different needs, from nano reefs to much larger aquariums.

The video from the Keloray stand

In the video report we shot at CIPS 2025, we show you part of this stand, with the new light fixtures, the aquariums illuminated by Keloray, and our first on-the-spot impressions. But we also wanted to come back with a dedicated article, because among the many things we saw at the show, Keloray was without a doubt one of the names that intrigued us the most for its consistency, growth, and variety of offerings.

What’s new from Keloray

The first new product we were shown was a truly compact lighting fixture, a small cube of around 70 watts that immediately caught our attention, the SK75. Small, lightweight, and interesting, so much so that Keloray gave us a sample to take home and test properly. It is one of those products that, at least on paper, seems designed to appeal to a very broad segment of the market: small aquariums, secondary tanks, nano reefs, but also all those setups where you want a compact solution without giving up a certain level of lighting quality.

But of course, that was not all. Also present at the stand were models we already knew, such as the L200, and more powerful models such as the L500, showing that Keloray is working on a complete range capable of covering virtually any need. And that is exactly the impression we took away: a brand that is not limiting itself to one flagship product, but is building a coherent and well-structured family of lighting fixtures.

The new Keloray L100

Receiving the new L100 and the compact model directly from the hands of Wang Zhiqiang was not just a simple technical handover for us, but a gesture of great courtesy that we deeply appreciated. Beyond the logistical challenge of fitting them into our luggage on the way back from Guangzhou, what we are really bringing back to Italy is the commitment to test them with the utmost rigor, in order to understand in the field the real value of a proposal that struck us as clear and well structured.

From an exhibition standpoint, theirs was among the best-executed stands. Orderly, bright, rich in products, and above all accompanied by visually striking tanks that helped show the real potential of the lighting fixtures. In one of the aquariums, there were many fish and a lighting setup heavily pushed toward blue, clearly enhancing colors and fluorescence. In another part of the stand, it was impossible not to notice a distinctly scenic demonstration, with water being poured over an arrangement with artificial corals: a choice clearly designed to attract attention, but one that worked perfectly amid the visual chaos and competition of CIPS.

What really matters to us, however, beyond the show, is always the result in the tank. And from that point of view, Keloray definitely stood out. Looking at the display aquariums, we saw clearly visible corals and a color rendering that seemed decidedly interesting. We also tried one of their lenses during filming, and the impression was clear: at least with this lighting spectrum, the rendering was remarkable. Vivid colors, a strong presence of blue, and highly noticeable fluorescence, all capable of enhancing the tank even in a challenging environment such as a trade show.

Keloray becomes an interesting brand in the Asian market

The impression is of a company that honors its own path: Keloray is not simply trying to occupy a market segment, but is building a reputation based on consistency. This way of operating — based on solid incremental steps, listening to feedback, and expanding the range coherently — struck us as serious, orderly, and aligned with a carefully considered growth strategy.

For us, it was especially interesting to connect this visit with what we had already seen with the AL200. Anyone who read our review knows that we had already started to get to know the brand and evaluate its approach. Finding today a broader range, with the L100, the L200, the L500, and even a new compact model of around 70 watts, tells us that that first step was not an isolated episode, but part of a broader plan.

Of course, it will take time, and it will take real-world testing, to truly understand where Keloray may ultimately position itself within the LED lighting landscape for marine aquariums. But in the meantime, the signal we saw at CIPS is clear: the brand is active, investing, expanding its offering, and seeking international visibility. And it is doing so with products that, at least at first glance, deserve attention.

New reviews… coming soon

Now all that remains is to do what we enjoy most: bring the products home, test them carefully, and understand whether the good impressions from the show will correspond to concrete results outside the stand as well. The L100 entrusted to us will be an important first step in that direction.

We would like to thank Mori and the entire staff for the time and hospitality they reserved for us. We return from CIPS with the awareness that the relationship between DaniReef and Keloray, which began with the AL200, is evolving toward an increasingly stimulating and interesting professional exchange for our community.
