Also this year we have chosen the Red Sea for my family holiday, again Marsa Alam. But we have changed the Resort, from the wonderful Kahramana of the last year to the new Holiday Beach Resort of this year. Beacuse we prefer to look ahead instead of to repeat the same experience ever.
Thanks to my friend Lumaz, who spent his holiday with us, we have chosen, as said, the new Holiday Beach Resort driven by Inviaggi tour operator in Italy. For my family we have spent 2.200 euro, and my family is me, my wife Simona, and my two daughters of 4 an 2 years old, with “all inclusive” treatment, also if not so “all inclusive”.
The holiday was been great, the sea (the reef obviously) absolutely incredible, and I took 2500 pictures in only one week, and it was so difficult choosing only a few (about 250) to show you.
Let me show you all the details of our holiday and all the photos I took.

La mia Acropora microphthalma non c’è più! Fa bella mostra di se ora nella vasca di un negozio. Era diventata di dimensioni assolutamente assurde ed ho scelto di venderla per poter così dare nuova aria (ehm acqua) all’acquario e poter ricreare un nuovo layout non più vincolato dalla dimensione dei coralli.
Le quattro foto sopra rappresentano la storia condensata della mia acropora.
La prima foto risale a qualche mese dopo il suo inserimento in vasca, da un regalo di Gilberto (aka IK2VOV) è cresciuta quella che sarebbe diventata il corallo più grande della storia dei miei acquari.
Dopo essere stata taleata più e più volte arriva al cambio vasca dove me la potete vedere in mano nella fotografia 2.
Nella fotografia 3 invece c’è il momento più alto della mia soddisfazione acquariofila fino a questo momento, il rilascio di uova da parte dell’acropora. Incredibile!
Infine nella foto 4 è ritratto il momento dell’addio. Ieri l’ho tolta, con molta cura, dall’acquario. Le dimensioni, misurate, sono di circa 50×40x40 e rivedere da dove il tutto è nato, bhè ci lascia sicuramente un po’ di impressione
My huge Acropora microphthalma has left my home. She was grown up until reaching huge dimensions of about 50×40x40 cm and my Aquarium was too small for her… so I decided to sell to create some empty spaces into my tank and so building a new layout.
The four photos above are related to the life of microphthalma on my tank: from her insertion (n.1), to changing tank (n.2), until the great moment… the spawning! (n.3). The last photo was taken yesterday when I took off her from my tank.

Ho consciuto Giancarlo su internet, e siccome non vive molto distante da Rimini, sono riuscito ad andarlo a trovare, ed ho visto una vasca spettacolare! Con animali in grandissima salute, sia pesci che coralli, e la vasca è veramente impressionante.
Impressionante al punto che la vasca è stata scelta come vasca del mese per Acquaportal!

I met Giancarlo by Internet, and as he lives near Rimini, in Ferrara (130 km) I decided to met him to see his tank. And his tank is absolutely wonderful, as you can see in this photos.
