I danni del riccio Diadema – The Sea Urchin’s damages

Anche oggi mi sono avvicinato alla mia vasca ed anche oggi ho trovato le mie belle sorprese. Purtroppo è mattina è le luci dell’acquario sono spente, quindi non ho potuto fare fotografie, che magari riuscirò a fare nel pomeriggio, ma è successa una cosa abbastanza interessante.

Il mio riccio diadema, già noto per altre vicissitudini, vedi qua: Il corallo scomparso l’ho lasciato ieri notte che transitava sulla mia bellissima acropora azurea. Questa mattina l’acropora è un tappeto di punte bianche. Il riccio ha praticamente rosicchiato e mangiato circa 15-20 punte.

Queste sono alcune foto d’archivio del riccio, quando ancora era piccolo, ora è enorme, tanto che sto pensando di darlo via per prenderne uno più piccolo, o forse, per non prenderlo più, dato che in effetti sarebbero molte scocciature in meno.

This morning, when I was looking my tank, as I used to do everyday, I’ve found another problem due to my Diadema sea urchins again. I’m sorry I didn’t get some pics, but it was impossible because at that time light are off, but it has happened a very interesting thing.

My Diadema sea urchins, famous for else matter (take a look there: Il corallo scomparso), last night was moving on my Acropora azurea and this morning Acropora has many limbs completely white! The urchin has gnawed off 15 or 20 limbs!

Over here you may see two pics of my urchin when it was young, now it’s bigger, so I’ve been thinking to take out it from the tank, to replace it with smaller one or to stay without one, because you know, less problems
