As all DaniReef readers will know I am a great admirer of automation and control systems for aquarium. A few months ago there was an introduction of a new control system called Seneye. The system was dedicated for fresh water aquariums “Seneye Home“, ponds “Seneye Pond” and of course for marine aquariums “Seneye Reef“.

The beauty of this system is its price very low, that is within the reach of almost anyone with a tank of a certain level and always want to know the most important values in aquarium. The Seneye Reef is sold to the public at 133 euros, while the Seneye Home at only 92 euros.

Come tutti i lettori di DaniReef sapranno sono un grande estimatore dei sistemi per l’automazione ed il controllo in acquario. Qualche mese fa ha fatto molto scalpore la presentazione sul mercato di un nuovo sistema di controllo chiamato Seneye. Il sistema nasce dedicato per gli acquari di acqua dolce “Seneye Home” per i laghetti “Seneye Pond” ed ovviamente per gli acquari marini “Seneye Reef“.

La Luce in natura, comparazioni con la luce in acquario

Durante il MagnaModena che si è tenuto domenica 8 febbraio abbiamo avuto la fortuna di assistere ad una presentazione di Nicola Gandini, titolare della ditta Elos che ci ha parlato della funzione e delle peculiarità della luce in acquario. Partendo da dati certi e misurabili e non dalle solite considerazioni spicciole.

Io ho poi preso la relazione e l’ho espansa con le mie conoscenze e l’ho resa in modo più leggibile, ringrazio quindi Nicola per la presentazione originaria e spero che in questo modo riusciate a capire meglio le diverse interazioni che sono citate, per ogni domanda non esitate a lasciare il vostro commento sotto a cui sarò felice di rispondere.

In occasione del MagnaModena che si è tenuto domenica 8 febbraio abbiamo avuto la possibilità di effettuare alcune misure sulla quantità di illuminazione prodotta da varie tipologie di lampade per acquario.

Per farlo ci siamo avvalsi di un misuratore di Par Light Meter Li-Cor Li 250A e di un luxmetro HD9221.

Le lampade oggetto della nostra misurazione sono state:

• Lumenarc III con bulbo HQi BLV 400w da 10.000°K
• E-Power con bulbo HQi Elos Spectra 250w da 10.000°K
• E-lite con 18 led da 64w
• Plafoniera commerciale con 2x24w PL da 10.000°K

The measured lamps have been:

• Lumenarc III with bulb HQi BLV 400w of 10.000°K
• E-Power with bulb HQi Elos Spectra 250w of 10.000°K
• E-lite with 18 led and 64w
• Commercial Light with 2x24w PL of 10.000°K
