La vasca di Cristian Braglia “Abracadabra” – The tank of

Il 21 maggio sono stato a Ferrara per lavoro ed ho colto l’occasione di visitare Cristian, ovvero Abracadabra, nel suo ristorante, dove oltre aver ammirato la sua insolita vasca, ho potuto mangiare in maniera semplicemente divina… in questo caso sono quindi ben felice di fargli un po’ di pubblicità… se siete dalle parti di Ferrara e volete mangiare delle Tigelle che parlano… ecco… andate pure alla VECCHIA MODENA, in via comacchio 104 a Quartesana (FE), non ne rimarrete delusi!

La vasca come dicevo è molto particolare, lunga e bassa, con tanti pesci, lps e molli e solo qualche duro. Un layout insolito ma di sicuro effetto.

Questo scorcio fotografico prende in considerazione soprattutto gli splendidi animali di Abracadabra, ben pasciuti, in perfetta salute e molto a loro agio in tutto lo spazio a loro disposizione.

La vasca misura 160×60 alta solo 35 cm, ed i pesci ospitati sono notevoli come potrete vedere.

Il sistema di filtraggio è talmente anomalo, da meritarsi il nome di metodo abracadabra e potete leggerne qua: metodo abra I e metodo abra II

The 21th of may I was been in Ferrara for my job and I went to visit Cristian, aka Abracadabra, to see his beautiful aquarium. The tank is inside the Cristian’s Restaurant named “Vecchia Modena” where you can eat “tigelle”, a specialty from Modena… very very very good! I love it, and so I give some publicity to Cristian… if you’ll travel around Ferrara, and if you want, you can go to Quartesana, via comacchio 104, to eat tigelle

The tank is great too, very long with many fishes, lps and some softies, not many sps as I’m used to see. Very impressive layout.

In these shots I’ve taken almost only fishes and corals… great animals!!!.

The dimension are 160x60x35(h) cm

The filtering system is very strange one, and the guys on Acquaportal have named “Abra Method” and you can read something here: abra method I and abra method II but only in italian

Montato il refrigeratore – the chiller again

Oggi c’erano 28,2 gradi in acquario, decisamente il momento di rimettere in circolo il refrigeratore AquaMedic Titan 250, del quale trovate una estesa recensione qua: http://www.danireef.com/2007/10/13/refrigeratore-aquamedic-titan-250/

Quindi l’ho preso dalla scatola, l’ho fatto girare per un’ora abbondante con acido muriatico ed acqua del rubinetto, poi l’ho svuotato, collegato in acquario e finalmente in poco più di un’ora la temperatura è passata da 28,2 a 27. Ottimo

I took out from his box, I cleaned with acid and water for about one hour, and then I linked to my tank. In about one hour the temperature went down from 28,2 C to 27 C. Wonderful

Eheim Compact Plus 2000

Durante il mio viaggio a Norimberga (qua e qua) mi sono portato a casa alcune cosette… la prima di cui parlo è una nuova pompa di risalita…

Sostanzialmente è la terza pompa di risalita che provo nella mia vasca.

La prima che provai, la Eheim 1250 era quella ancora funzionante nella mia vasca, mentre la OceanRunner OR2500 l’ho utilizzata solo per qualche mese.

During the trip to Interzoo at Nurnberg (here and here) I have brought back with me some useful things… the firts I mention is my new pump to return water from the sump…

It’s my third pump for this task.

The first I had was also the last one, the mighty Eheim 1250, when the other pump, OceanRunner OR2500 was utilized only for a couple of months.

Magna Romagna, Pizza e Acquari cena a Rimini venerdì; Dinner in Rimini, Friday

Dopo il MagnaRomagna in trasferta prima a Norimberga (qua e qua) e dopo all’Elos Open Day, siamo finalmente qua a proporre una nuova cena. VENERDì 20 GIUGNO ci vedremo ancora davanti all’ennesimo boccale di birra!!!

Venerdì 20 giugno, a Rimini, ancora una volta presso il ristorante pizzeria Lo Zodiaco dalle 7 in poi…

I and some friends of mine have decided to gather every aquarium-keeper who live near Rimini to eat pizza. The meeting is fixed from 7 pm to pizzeria Lo Zodiaco friday 20 of June.

ELOS Open Day

Il 7 giugno 2008 si è tenuto il PRIMO ELOS OPEN DAY, una reunion di forumisti provenienti in maggior parte dal maggiore forum italiano di acquariofilia www.acquaportal.it

L’organizzazione dell’evento era partita a ottobre del 2007, segno del volere dell’azienda di fare le cose bene ed in grande, come da Stile ed Etica dell’azienda.

Io come la maggior parte di voi saprà, ho collaborato con Elos affinché questa prima visita fosse qualcosa di utile e ben organizzata, devo in ogni caso ringraziare la Elos tutta, ed il dott. Gandini in particolare per aver concesso questa opportunità per altro molto ben organizzata ed a mio parere molto molto utile, come i forumisti hanno poi commentato nel forum.

Purtroppo non abbiamo una fotografia di insieme come invece sarebbe stato da fare, ma noi del Magna Romagna ci siamo voluti distinguere e così la prima foto è dedicata a NOI!

Ovviamente non tutti del Magna Romagna, ma possiamo inserire Nicola come membro onorario del nostro piccolo club.

La convention si è svolta in due luoghi distinti, la prima parte dove abbiamo assistito ad una interessantissima relazione presso l’Hotel Golf Paradiso **** della Catena Parc Hotels Italia dove siamo stati anche omaggiati di un lauto pranzo (e meno male che doveva essere qualcosa di leggero… 8 tipi di dolci diversi…), poi una relazione sull’illuminazione e la visita finale in azienda dove siamo stati tutti omaggiati di un pacco regalo

The FIRST ELOS OPEN DAY is been The 7th of june 2008, one meeting to aquarium forum writers coming from biggest italian forum www.acquaportal.it

The meeting organisation was begun at october 2007, as Elos wanted to do a very important and well organized meeting, focused on interesting and competent people, as Style and Ethics of italian company.

As many of you know, I collaborate with Elos to organise this meeting, but I must thanks all Elos Staff and Gandini Nicola to have let us this opportunity, and to have granted to us such an interesting possibility as many forum writer have commented on forum.

I’m sorry we haven’t a picture of everybody together, but we of Magna Romagna are very distinguish men… so the first pictures is for US!

The meeting was inside two locations, the first at Hotel Golf Paradiso **** of “Parc Hotels Italy” where we began with a relation about Elos, then we have a big lunch… (someone sayd that it was a very light one… but… 8 types of sweety cake… mmm), and finally another relation focused on aquarium light. After that we have moved to Elos Company, where Elos granted us some presents too… nice indeed

Aquasmart by Limulus – English Version

INTRODUCTION

I love electronics. When I begun the Aquarium hobby I thought how to automate it using a dedicated computer. Some time ago I tried Aquarium Controller of Aquatronica (you can read my opinion about it, but only in italian for now), last year I known Roberto Buti at Bologna Zoomark, and I was impressed of his system, Aquasmart. I can assure you that everything you want to do… it’s possible, as you can see continuing reading.

Roberto created Aquasmart for himself and his aquarium, and after, pressed by his friends, has chosen to sell it to everybody, nice job and well done!!!

In the picture above you can see my mounted system, by passing over with mouse you can get out cover.

So I have ordered Aquasmart system: Base module, Power module 8I, Terminal module, GSM module, Vertical level sensor and temperature probe, pH probe adapter and pH probe, Redox probe adapter and Redox probe, Conductivity probe adapter and Conductivity probe, Ethernet module, Tunz adapter, Led module and white led.

Questa volta ho fatto il bilanciamento del bianco direttamente in vasca, ottenendo un risultato sui colori che potrei definire eccellente

After my previous article about Andrea’s tank (you can see here: http://www.danireef.com/2008/01/19/la-vasca-di-andrea-negusanti-andreanegu-the-tank-of/ ), the internet magazine Acquaportal has chosen it as tank of the month, so I came back to take new shoots of his tank, because the white balance of the previous photos didn’t like me. This time I did the white balance directly in front of the aquarium, and I think to have achieved great results.

2008 Interzoo Norimberga

L’Interzoo 2008 a me personalmente è piaciuto molto. Purtroppo i 2 giorni che siamo stati in fiera abbiamo dovuto effettuare delle scelte, perché sembra incredibile, ma non è possibile vedere tutto in “soli” due giorni. Così io, Zanna Bianca e Lumaz ci siamo focalizzati su alcuni stand che abbiamo cercato di visitare più a lungo. Dentro la fiera poi ci siamo accompagnati anche a Pieme74, a MarcoAP ed a Mbenassi visitando alcuni stands insieme.

Inutile dire che a partire dal viaggio, alla visita alle razzie finali alla chiusura della fiera ci siamo divertiti molto, moltissimo.

La mia fotodescrizione seguirà pari pari il nostro percorso all’interno dell’Interzoo cercando di farvi vedere, più o meno, quello che abbiamo visto noi, e quello di cui siamo stati più attratti.

Di Elos ho già parlato qua: Elos a Norimberga perché è stato lo stand in cui ci siamo soffermati maggiormente e dove c’erano un numero di novità elevato.

I liked very much this Interzoo. The worst thing is about to have chosen to watch some stand instead of other, it’s incredible to think that’s impossible to see everything in only “two” days. So I and my friends, Zanna Bianca and Lumaz, have had to chose what we want to see better, and inside the exhibit we have gone around also with Pieme74, a MarcoAP ed a Mbenassi watching some stands all together.The trip was amazing, from our departure from Italy to our final collection of equipments and live rock at the end of exhibit.My photo-description is what we have saw inside Interzoo, to show you what we have seen, and what we have liked more.
I’ve just written about Elos here: Elos at Interzoo because was the stand where we spent more time, and where we find more new products.
