In the world of marine aquariums, lighting is one of the most important aspects for coral growth and health. Today in the DaniReef LAB we test the new Keloray AL200 (the big sister of the Keloray AL150, which we will test in the future), a modern fixture that promises excellent performance thanks to its 224 LEDs and its carefully crafted design.
We got to know the company by observing some beautiful tanks under their LED fixtures, especially noting their production of powerful LED spotlights for public aquariums in China, which are truly massive. I will also be testing this model on my new 70×70 cm cube tank, which is supposedly perfect according to the data collected, with a setup 90% dedicated to SPS hard corals.
Unboxing and Presentation of the Keloray AL200 Light Fixture
In the video we’ll show the fixture, demonstrate how we measure PAR values, and discuss the results of our tests.
Technical Specifications of the Keloray AL200
The Keloray AL200 is designed to offer a perfect balance between luminous efficiency and aesthetics. Fixture is rectangular, only 16 mm tall, and measures 45×45 cm. The Keloray AL200’s LEDs come in 6 different types grouped into 6 channels. There are no LEDs specifically for simulating moonlight.
What’s in the box? Everything you need: power supply, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth signal receiver, a pair of suspension cables, and even a mounting arm for tank-edge installation.

This configuration, according to the company, provides a powerful and balanced light, perfect for reef aquariums.

Optical Design and Lenses

The acrylic lenses of the AL200 have an anti-glare, pearl-textured surface designed to reduce glare and evenly distribute the light. This design minimizes hotspotting and provides softer, more natural illumination. The lenses are laser-etched and contain a polygonal mesh to optimize diffusion—a detail that immediately caught our attention and is unlike anything we’ve seen in other fixtures.
Programming
The fixture is programmed via Wi-Fi using a dedicated app and includes 5 preset modes: Standard, SPS, LPS, Polyculture, and Photography. You can also create a custom program, rename it, and export it via QR code. Each channel can be dimmed from 0 to 100%, and overall intensity can also be adjusted similarly, much like the ATI Straton.
