Marsa Alam - House Reef - night diving - English Version

During our last holiday in Marsa Alam we also had the fortune to dive in the night straight from the dock of our resort, a place called House Reef.
It was my first night diving, and although the sea was very rough was an unforgettable experience to be repeated as soon as possible (I’m already waiting for the next trip to Egypt in fact)
We have to thank once again the structure of the diving SeaWorld and in this particular case we have to thank especially our guide Roberto Piazza that made us not only as a guide but there has been the godfather of this our first night dive, after a briefing longer than usual, with the appropriate equipment we went down loads of expectations!

Durante la nostra vacanza a Marsa Alam abbiamo avuto anche la fortuna di immergerci per una immersione notturna, direttamente dal pontile del nostro resort, nella località chiamata House Reef.
Era la mia prima immersione notturna, e sebbene il mare fosse molto agitato è stata una esperienza indimenticabile e da ripetere appena possibile (già sto aspettando il prossimo viaggio in Egitto infatti)
Dobbiamo ringraziare ancora una volta la struttura del diving SeaWorld ed in questo caso preciso dobbiamo ringraziare soprattutto la nostra guida Roberto Piazza che ci ha fatto non solo da guida ma ci ha tenuto a battesimo per questa nostra prima immersione notturna, dopo un briefing più lungo del solito, con l’attrezzatura adeguata ad una immersione subacquea ci siamo immersi carichi di aspettative!

Marsa Shoona is a lagoon between the city of Marsa Alam and his airport, in the Red Sea, Egypt.
It was a trip proposed by SeaWorld diving, and so we went… and I assure you… it’s worth a while, sure!

Marsa Shoona è una laguna posta a mezza via tra l’aeroporto e la città di Marsa Alam, sul Mar Rosso in Egitto.
Essendo una escursione proposta dal diving SeaWorld abbiamo preso al volo l’occasione e ci siamo andati, e devo dire che l’immersione vale proprio la pena di essere fatta!

Abu Dabbab is probably the most beautiful bay of Marsa Alam, Red Sea, which has recently also become a protected natural park by the Egyptian government. So it is obligatory to pay a fee to visit this beautiful lagoon.
As you can see in the picture by satellite, which you can click to go to Google Maps, the lagoon is huge, with very fine sand. On the right stands the hotel complex Sol Y Mar Abu Dabbab. The Reef to visit are placed on two sides of the lagoon, both starting from the shore, the left reef is the most attractive (or at least so say the guides) and is probably the finest of Marsa Alam, from what I saw .

Abu Dabbab è probabilmente la più bella baia di Marsa Alam, sul Mar Rosso, che da poco è diventata anche parco naturale protetto dal governo egiziano. Per questo è obbligatorio pagare una tassa per andare a visitare questa splendida laguna.
Come potete vedere nella fotografia da satellite, che potete cliccare per andare su google maps, la laguna è enorme, con sabbia molto fina. Sulla destra sorge il complesso alberghiero Sol Y Mar di Abu Dabbab. Le barriere da visitare sono due, ai lati della laguna, entrambe con partenza da riva, la barriera di sinistra è quella più appetibile (o perlomeno così dicono le guide) ed è sicuramente la più bella di Marsa Alam, per quello che ho visto io.
