Conclusions

The CEAB Slide&Led is a very good product. It is very well built, and the fact the it is made in Italy gives us the opportunity to speak directly to the manufacturer shall there be any problems. It is also nice to look at, in my opinion.

The system is adjustable and you can easily add modules to cover your specific needs.

The buying price is expensive, but this is a common trait to all led lighting systems. With our configuration, the maintenance costs per year are very low.

This system comes with timers to help us adjust the light, of course it is not the same as having a proper system with a dimmer, but still it allows us to use the product as soon as it is taken off the box.

CEAB Slide&Led has been kind to our corals even though they came from HQi lighting, they didn’t suffer and this is a very good plus for this product. We can still have a think about our acclimatizing methods.

We found the light reflection, or the glitter lines, fantastic! It’s a very distinctive trait of this light and probably the best we have ever seen on a led light system, probably produced by the 30 watt white led. Good job, CEAB!

The only shortcoming of this light is the low power, but you can still add other slide modules or leds, also taking benefit of the kindness and professionality of the CEAB technicians, who are always available to help and give advice.

We recommend the use of the CEAB Slide&Led lights for any type of marine tank with fishes, soft coral or LPS corals, while we wouldn’t use it for SPS dominated tanks where we would notice that lack of intensity we spoke about earlier.

This doesn’t mean that we cannot keep SPS in good health under this lamp, but their coloration and growth rate could give better results with other more powerful lights.
