We used them so much, we abused them. And today, we can tell you about. We’re talking about of small Sicce Voyager Nano 1000 and 2000.

Sicce Voyager Nano 1000 and 2000 are not electronic pumps, but they both work with a fixed flow rate of 1.000 and 2.000 liters/hour, respectively, with a consumption of 2.8 and 3 watts.

The two Sicce Voyager Nano 1000 and 2000 are designed and entirely manufactured in Italy. Even if they are not electronic pumps, they are finally perfect for MiniReefs and NanoReefs, where it was difficult to find an appropriate solution due to their small dimensions, until now.

The two pumps are equipped with a magnet, suitable for glasses up to 12mm, that allows a complete flow orientation with a nearly perfect rotation.

Let’s see together their technical characteristics:

These pumps, suitable for Nano and MiniReefs, are also proper to the fresh water aquarium. Indeed we have a perfect propeller pump, with an incredibly low consumption.

The Sicce Voyager Nano 1000 has an efficiency in the amount of 357 liters per watt consumed, while the Sicce Voyager Nano 2000 has a much better efficiency of 667 liters per watt consumed. By comparison, the Rossmont M5800, that we tested a few months ago, produces 580 liters per watt (read our review here) with a much greater flow, as well as Tunze Nanostream 6045 with 643 liters per watt and a 4,500 liters flow-rate, perhaps too powerful in comparison to these small Sicces.

From another point of view, Sicce Voyager 1000 costs €33,87 and 2000 €36,75, with an economic efficiency of 29.5 liters for every euro spent in case of Voyager 1000 and 54.42 for Voyager 2000, compared with 56.4 liters/euro for the Tunze Turbelle Nanostream 6045, taking advantage of its power.

You can buy them at a low price, therefore their efficiency/euro ratio will always be a little higher.

Here above you can see the three small pumps packages: Sicce Syncra Nano, of which you can read our review here, and the two subjects of this review, Sicce Voyager 1000 in the left box and, in the middle, Voyager 2000.

Sicce suggests Voyager 1000 to marine aquariums from 30 up to 80 liters, and Voyager 2000 from 80 up to 140 liters. Different matter for freshwater aquariums, the first one is suitable for 60-120 liters tanks and the second for 120-200 liters.

Personally, a couple of these small Sicce pumps is perfect for a Nanoreef, using a couple of Voyager 1000 for a 50 liters Nanoreef and a couple of 2000 in a 50-100 liters SPS tank. We can surely duplicate this volumes in case of LPS or soft coral tanks. We should obtain a flow equal to at least 20 times the volume of the tank, considering that alternate flow means one pump at a time.
