Tunze finally updates the software on his multicontroller 7096

Tunze has finally updated the software on his multicontroller 7096 making it extremely competitive.

Finally it has improved the program “Pulse” by adding the option of entering the ramp time by which you get from minimum power until the pump was pumping at maximum power, this means a lower noise of the program, it is also added a random program pulsing in a range between 0.5 and 3 seconds.

But above all it is now possible, in the “interval” and “sequential” programs, to set the switched off pump(s) to a minimum power, similar to the old program “interval 2” of multicontroller 7095, that was, incidentally, my favorite program.

The only problem right now is that the update is only available for Windows and not Mac, for which the update will be released in the coming weeks. In truth, it’s possibile to use Bootcamp, Parallels, Fusion or any other program to start Windows on your Mac and then update the software from there.

Tunze finalmente aggiorna il software del proprio multicontroller 7096

Finalmente la Tunze ha aggiornato il software del proprio multicontroller 7096 rendendolo estremamente competitivo.

Finalmente infatti è stato migliorato il programma “pulse” aggiungendovi la possibilità di indicare il tempo di rampa tramite il quale si arriva dallo stato di pompa al minimo fino allo stato di pompa alla massima potenza, questo comporta un minor rumore del programma stesso, inoltre è stato aggiungo che un programma random pulse che interviene in un range fra 0,5 e 3 secondi.

Ma soprattutto è stata aggiunta la possibilità, nel programma “interval” e “sequential“, di poter avere le pompe secondarie non più spente, ma accese al minimo impostabile, in maniera simile al vecchio programma “interval 2” del multicontroller 7095, che per inciso era il mio programma preferito.

L’unico problema in questo momento è che l’update c’è solo per Windows e non per Mac, per il quale uscirà l’aggiornamento nelle prossime settimane. Un plauso al fatto che il programma esiste anche per MacOs, anche se purtroppo non si può ancora aggiornare il software da dentro MacOS. In verità la scappatoia esiste ed è quella di utilizzare bootcamp, parallels, fusion o qualsiasi altro programma per far partire Windows sul Mac e poi da qua aggiornare il software.

Quarto corso di Acquariologia, acquario di barriera, vediamo come è andata

Domenica 18 settembre si è tenuto a Cesena, presso l’aula magna della facoltà di psicologia, il quarto corso di acquariologia (l’acquario di barriera), a cui hanno partecipato circa 200 persone.

Il corso è stato reso possibile dall’interessamento degli sponsor che cito in puro ordine alfabetico: Sera Italia, AIPA, Anubias, Aquaristica, CEAB, COF, Kuda Tropical Fish, Oasi, Oceanlife, Planctontech, Reef International, Seaplast e Testudo edizioni, a cui va in ringraziamento particolare visto che, senza di loro, queste iniziative non sarebbero possibili.

Il corso è stato organizzato dal corso di laurea in “Acquacoltura e Igiene delle produzioni ittiche” della Facoltà di Medicina Veterinaria dell’Ateneo di Bologna e Ser.In.Ar.

Purtroppo per una volta non avevo con me la mia fida macchina fotografica, quindi dovrete accontentarvi delle (molto) modeste immagini fatte con il mio iPhone e delle mie parole che cercheranno di raccontarvi questa bellissima giornata.

Tunze versus Vortech, what’s about the better flow?

It made quite a debate in the United States an article published in Advanced Aquarist and edited by Michael Sandford, William Straka and Sanjay Joshi, which proposes a new method to calculate the flow of the propeller pumps.

Yes, because in fact the problem has not trivial resolution. How is it possible to measure the true flow from a Stream or a Vortech?

Elos declared the temporary unavailability of Elos Terra Small substrate

Elos has issued a statement about the temporary unavailability of Elos Terra Small, very much used for the construction of substrates in freshwater planted aquariums.

As you all know ELOS Terra is a Natural product that is found in nature, sterilized and then enriched with micro and macro elements that enhance its characteristics. It is then sieved by Elos in order to get two sizes: Small and Medium.

Unfortunately, it is now about a year that the raw material coming from nature presents an almost constant grain size, which allows us to select a very limited amount of fine-grained (Terra SMALL).

For this reason, Elos is compelled to temporarily suspend the sale of Terra SMALL.

In the meanwhile Elos suggests alternatively to use the new TERRA Black that features similar organic/chemical characteristic and have a fine grain size, very close to the ELOS Terra Small.

Elos annuncia l’indisponibilità del prodotto Terra Small

Elos ha diramato un comunicato in merito alla indisponibilità momentanea del prodotto Elos Terra Small, utilizzato tantissimo per la costruzione dei substrati negli acquari di acqua dolce piantumati.

Come tutti sapete ELOS Terra è un prodotto estratto in natura che viene setacciato direttamente da Elos in due granulometrie, sterilizzato e quindi addizionato di micro e macro elementi che ne esaltano le caratteristiche.

Purtroppo, è oramai da circa un anno che il materiale in possesso di Elos presenta una granulometria pressoché costante che consente di selezionare un quantitativo molto limitato di granulometria fine.
Per questo motivo, sino a data da definire, la Elos è costretta a sospendere la commercializzazione della granulometria fine.

Elos però suggerisce ai propri clienti di utilizzare in alternativa la nuova Terra Black che ha caratteristiche organico/chimiche similari e presenta una granulometria più fine, molto vicina alla Terra Small.
