Come tutti sapete Matteo Benassi ed io siamo amici da lungo tempo, una amicizia nata dall’acquario e consolidatasi con il tempo. Ho quindi accolto con entusiamo l’idea che cambiasse vasca, perché in fondo per noi acquariofili una nuova vasca è sempre una nuova rinascita, nuovi stimoli e nuove avventure.
E conoscendo Matteo e la sua bravura ero sicuro che la nuova vasca sarebbe stata un successo!

Ad agosto mi parlò del nuovo progetto portato avanti dalla Skym Acquari, come potete leggere nel suo Blog, bhè il post lasciava presagire come il progetto fosse splendido, curato nei minimi particolari.
Solo la vasca è lunga ben 237 cm!!!

Matteo Benassi is one of my best friends, I met him into the Acquaportal Forum some years ago, and from that moment we became friends. So when he spoke me about his will to change tank I was very happy… because you know, for our reef keeper to change tank is like to rebirth…

The new tank is 237 cm lenght… impressive… and you can see all pictures and reading about his equipment by clicking HERE.
La vasca dal vivo è impressionante per la cura e la meticolosità con cui è stata costruita. Ora, dopo il cambio vasca, è ovviamente in maturazione, ma si nota sicuramente la mano dell’acquariofilo. Il layout è pulito e il pilastro sulla sinistra è semplicemente fantastico.
Lo spazio per i pesci è tanto e i pochi pesci presenti, soprattutto i pochi che si sono fatti vedere, si trovano a suo agio in tutto quello spazio e quella lunghezza, ed il pilastro funge perfettamente come divisorio fra due zone così diverse, come la barriera classica sulla destra e la parte aperta sulla sinistra.
Inoltre apprezzo tantissimo la volontà di utilizzare lampade non troppo potenti per la totale illuminazione del sistema, usando plafoniere con lampade da 250w.
La vasca è formata da una parte più stretta, che da sola misura più della mia vasca, e che misura in pianta 135×55 cm, che si collega ad una parte più larga che misura 102×90 cm, arrivando ad una lunghezza complessiva di 237 cm, per una altezza di 55 cm, utilizzando vetro extrachiaro da 19 mm, per un impressionante valore del litraggio lordo di 913 litri! La ditta che ha costruito l’acquario ha anche effettuato una verifica statica per il supporto del peso da parte della soletta.
La schiumazione è affidata ad un Royal Exlusiv Bubble King 200, mentre per evitare le pompe di movimento in vasca sono state utilizzate due enormi pompe di risalita, poste nei due pozzetti della vasca. Sono due Red Dragon, una da 14.000 ed una da 12.000 litri/ora.
Il reattore di calcio è un italianissimo LGR 1400.
L’illuminazione è basata su 3 plafoniere Giesemann Spectra equipaggiate con bulbi E40 Giesemann da 12.500 e 4 neon attinici T5 da 24w da 20.000°K sempre Giesemann.
Sicuramente la vasca dovrà crescere, e si riempirà di coralli, ma senza alcun dubbio la vasca è eccezionale, e con il tempo si trasformerà sicuramente in un bellissimo cigno.

The tank is impressive for the care and meticulousness with which it was built. Now, after having change the tank is obviously aging, but certainly we can see the hand of a good aquarium keeper. The layout is clean and the pillar on the left is simply fantastic.
The space for the fish is great and the few fish, especially the few who came to see, are at ease in all that space and length, and the pillar serves perfectly as divider between two very different areas, such as barrier classic on the right and open on the left.
I also appreciate a lot the willingness to use lamps not too powerful for the complete lighting system, using ceiling lights with 250W lamps.
The tank is made from a narrower part, which alone is greater of my tank, with measure of 135×55 cm, which is linked to a higher extent that measure 102×90 cm, reaching a total length of 237 cm, with an height of 55 cm and an impressive value of 913 liters! The company that built the aquarium has also made a static verification to support the weight of the aquarium.
The skimmer is a Royal Exlusiv Mini Bubble King 200, while the movement pumps are two huge pumps, placed into the sump. Two Red Dragon, one of 14,000 and 12,000 liters / hour.
The calcium reactor is an italian LGR 1400.
The lighting is based on three Giesemann Spectra equipped with E40 12,500 Giesemann bulbs and 4 neon T5 24W Actinic T5 20,000° K always Giesemann.
Certainly the pool will grow, and it will filled with corals, but no doubt the pool is exceptional, and with time it will transform it in a beautiful swan.
